Jaydie Putterman
De nombreuses institutions ont intégré un nombre considérable de ses photographies dans leur collection permanentes : le Musée d'Art Moderne à New-York, la Bibliothèque Nationale à Paris, la Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian à Lisbonne, l'Institut d'Art à Minneapolis, la Librairie du Congrès à Washington D.C. pour n'en citer que quelques-une.

Né en Amérique en 1945, il a grandit à New-York. A cinq ans, il reçut son premier appareil photo ; il étudiat à Parson School of Design et à The New School, et enseigna la photographie dans des université à New-York et à Paris.
Avec sa femme Rosalynde, il s'installe en France en 1973 où il vit depuis avec sa famille.
L'oeuvre photographique de Jaydie regroupe de nombreux sujets. Vous en trouverez dans son portfolio professionnel une grande variété: de la Formule 1 rédactionnelle aux couvertures de magazines et aux travaux publicitaires.
Ses expositions couvrent quatre continents; une douzaine de livres ont été édité, consacrés à ses travaux à long terme, tel qu'une année passée avec le New-York City Ballet, une documentation sur la vie au Sri Lanka, un reportage sur les jeux d'enfants dans les rues de New-York. Il réalisa une étude approfondie de la vie de deux officier NYPD, aboutissant au livre "POLICE".
Les deux derniers projets majeurs démontrent la vraie passion de Jaydie à documenter ceux dont les vies ont contribué au plus grand bien : "TALENTS ET CONSCIENCES DE L'EUROPE" rassemble les portraits de plus de 100 individus, de Mère Thérésa au Juge Giovani Falcone et de Peter Ustinov au Roi Carlos 1er. Il en résulte la première publication multimédia du photographe par un livre, CD-ROM, site web et exposition.
Son projet actuel PLANET EARTH consiste à "portraitiser" et documenter tous ceux qui ont orbité autour de la terre, dans leur rôle respectif dans l'exploration de l'espace. Avec l'aide de l'UNESCO, ce travail sera diffusé à million d'institutions d'éducation. Jaydle croit sincèrement que ces explorateurs de l'espace constitueront un exemple bénéfique pour la jeunesse d'aujourd'hui.
Photographe confirmé et engagé, Jaydie est avant tout un homme soucieux de l'aspect positif des choses.

Given his first camera at the age of five, he subsequently studied at Parson School of Design and at the New School and thaught photograpy at universities in New-York and Paris. With his wife Rosalynde, he moved in 1973 to France, where they have raised their family.
Jaydie's photography output has covered a broad range of subject matter. ln his professional portfolio you could find anything from Formula One editorial shots to magazine covers and advertising work.
His exhibitions span four continents; twelve published book feature his long-term projects, including a year with the New-York City Ballet, a twelve month study of life in Sri Lanka, and reportage of street games in New-York. He went on to create an in-depth observation of the working lives of two officers, leading to the book 'POLICE'.
The last two major projects are a true focus of Jaydie's passion for documenting those whose lives made a contribution to the grater good. 'TALENTS AND CONSCIENCES OF EUROPE' includes over one hundred individuals from Mother Teresa to Judge Giovani Falcone, from King Juan Carlos 1st to Peter Ustinov. lt resulted ln the photographer's first multi-media publication, as a book, CD-ROM, website and exhibition.
The current project portraits and documents all those have orbited the Earth, in their respective roles in space exploration. With the aid of UNESCO, the results will be distributed to a million educational Institutions. lt is Jaydie's sincere belief that these space explorers will set an example as role models to the youth of today.
While he is an excellent and committed photographer, Jaydie is above all man concerned with things of positive.
